H1N1 follows ethnic pattern

People from two ethnic groups — Alaska Natives and American Indians, and Asians and Pacific Islanders — were hospitalized at higher rates than those in any other ethnic groups.

The rate for Alaska Natives was 4 1/2 times greater than for white people, at 50 per 100,000, said McLaughlin. Asians and Pacific Islanders weren’t far behind Alaska Natives, at a rate of 41 hospitalizations per 100,000.

The number of states with widespread pandemic flu activity dropped for the third week in a row, but the virus continued to take a heavy toll on children, with at least 27 more pediatric deaths reported the week of Nov 15 to 21, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention CDC said today.

Thirty-two states were still reporting widespread activity, 11 fewer than the previous week, according to the CDC’s surveillance report. Visits to physicians’s; offices for influenza-like illnesses also dropped for the fourth consecutive week, with all regions of the country reporting declines. However, the CDC pointed out that doctor’s visits for flu symptoms are still high

If the health care bill passes there will be a transfer of power to the Obama administration from the congress which doesn’t have the authority in the first place to govern health care. (I can’t find that in the constitution). Eventually it would violate the 3rd,4th,5th, 9th and 10th amendments of the constitution. This would also include Article 6 of the constitution binding the house and congress by oath of the constitution,Am I looking at this wrong? Why or Why not?

Should homeowners who are behind in their mortgage be allowed to just walk way from the payments?

As most states are “non-recourse” states, what do you mean “allowed to just walk way”? What is there to stop you? Debtors prison? I don’t think so (unless you owe child support or student loan).

A University of Arizona law professor suggests that maybe they should. While not recommending that homeowners forgo their responsibilities, Professor Brent White told CNBC Monday that there is a different set of rules for the business community and homeowners.

What do you mean responsibilities? Like to Mom and Dad?

Or do mean legal responsibilities? Because if that is what you mean then, there is no such animal – legal requirements perhaps but responsibilities is a moral thing and we are a country of laws not morals – just ask Goldman Sachs.
