Of the festivals of nonsense that periodically overtake American politics, surely the silliest is the argument that because Washington is having a particularly snowy winter it proves that climate change is a hoax and, therefore, we need not bother with all this girly-man stuff like renewable energy, solar panels and carbon taxes. Just drill, baby, drill.

Tom, Tom, Tom. You don’t have to make this some religious quest (religious because you must believe in global warming, you can’t prove it).
Just “go” with some simple provable stuff like:
Brown air that smells bad should not be allowed to happen.
Poisoning our drinking water is not a good idea and we probably shouldn’t be doing it.
The Global Warming crap is just a power /tax grab, like tithing to the church (if you believe in it do it, don’t make me do it too).
Taxes don’t fix anything, it’s how Government makes a living.

The embattled chief of the UN’s climate change body has hit out at his critics and refused to resign or apologise for a damaging mistake in a landmark 2007 report on global warming.
In an exclusive interview with the Guardian, Dr Rajendra Pachauri, chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, said it would be hypocritical to apologise for the false claim that Himalayan glaciers could melt away by 2035, because he was not personally responsible for that part of the report. “You can’t expect me to be personally responsible for every word in a 3,000 page report,” he said.
