Let’s get real. The U.S. is bankrupt. Neither spending more nor taxing less will help the country pay its bills.
via U.S. Is Bankrupt and We Don’t Even Know It: Laurence Kotlikoff – Bloomberg.
Are they going to shut off our cell phones and power? Cut the cable?
No.
We’ve done this before (thanks Richard Nixon). Default once – shame on you’ Default twice – shame on you again, suckers!
Nothing is going to change. No huge tax burdens, no failed Social Security, no food riots.
Well, that is until someone can do this better than we can.

This is simple. So simple even politicians in Kansas can get it.
Number of Americans killed in the last three months as a DIRECT result of BP’s negligance: 11
Number of Americans killed in the last three months as a DIRECT result of using herbal incense: 0
I’m not saying smoking herbal incense is a good idea, only that the Government condones much more dangerous behavior than smoking herbal incense.

If you’re 55+ and have a pre-existing condition, It’s gonna cost you $ 11,776 a year for premium ($ 773 mo.) plus $ 2500 deductible, plus Dr. co-pays of $ 25 a pop, plus drug costs of 4 – 30 per script.
Knowing that your prescription costs will never exceed $5,950 should really be a relief to those of you unable to find affordable health care.
Check my numbers here.
What a farce this health care crap is.

The legislation “will help restore the great strength of the American financial system, which — at its best — develops innovative ways to provide credit and capital, not just for our great global companies, but for the individual with an idea and a plan,” Geithner said to reporters shortly after the bill was approved.
via Timothy Geithner’s realm grows with passage of financial regulatory reform.
Personally, the only thing Timmy Geithner should get is a prison sentence. It won’t happen, there will never be an investigation, charges, nothing. The proof that Timmy was party to illegal and fraudulent acts will never come to light.
But then, these people managed to piss off Jesus to the point he became downright violent about it.
Yep, the first thing he did of note was to overturn the moneychangers tables at the temple.
If they managed to rile up the Prince of Peace, that should tell you something…

Apparently there is nothing going on as of 7:41 am eastern.
It’s either that or we should just “shut the fuck up and go spend some money” like Michelle says.
I think her and the kids should go swimming in the gulf.
BTW, how many young Americans died today in your war Mr Peace Prize.

The Drug Enforcement Administration is warning users, saying no one knows what chemicals are actually contained in the substance.
OK, fair enough.
It looks like marijuana, but is made up of chemicals that came out of a research lab at Clemson University. It is often laced with herbs.
But I thought you just said you didn’t know what’s in it.
Anyway, let me get this right…
It’s a chemical that looks like marijuana that was discovered at Clemson University and somehow they lace this chemical with herbs
The DEA says it is dangerous. There are reports of people having near-death experiences. An Iowa man who took K2 died last month, and toxicologists and health professionals are studying that case to see if there is a cause and effect relationship.
This is where it gets really fucked up!
The young man from Iowa took his own life, we’ve already reported on it. But considering the mother of a friend of David Rozga’s said the teen had spoken of suicide in the past and was depressed, the toxicologists and health professionals that are studying that case to see if there is a cause and effect relationship should have an easy time of it.
Thanks FOX for a great report!

If the guidelines are adopted in the fall, as expected, some experts predict a two- to threefold increase in the number of people with Alzheimer’s disease. Many more people would be told they probably are on their way to getting it. The Alzheimer’s Association says 5.3 million Americans now have the disease.
The changes could also help drug companies that are, for the first time, developing new drugs to try to attack the disease earlier. So far, there are no drugs that alter the course of the disease.

I think the “could also help drug companies” tells you everything.
More drugs for made-up stuff…
